About Me
Let Me Introduce Myself
I’m Erin, software engineer and owner of Code Sprinkles.
What Lights Me Up
My work lies at the intersection of technology and sexuality, where I am deeply fascinated by the ways in which technology shapes, facilitates, and expands sexual identity and expression. Over the past decade, I have worked in various tech roles—including web developer, tech lead, and engineering manager—at financial and educational technology companies. Currently, as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, I am particularly intrigued by the growing role of generative AI in transforming sexual expression and intimacy.
As I design and develop sextech products, I am committed to doing so with a deep sensitivity to the needs and experiences of marginalized groups and diverse sexualities. I believe that inclusive and ethical design is essential to creating technology that respects the complexity of human sexuality. I strive to be sensitive to the nuanced ways in which age, gender, kink, and queerness intersect with sexual expression.
Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to the creation of innovative technologies that empower individuals to explore their sexual identities in safe, inclusive, and meaningful ways.
Sextech Exploration
I have engaged in diverse and comprehensive training in human intimacy, with a particular focus on sexual wellness, sextech, and kink. I completed Bryony Cole's SexTech School, a program that provides in-depth knowledge of the sextech industry, including lessons, mentorship, and networking opportunities with leading entrepreneurs and business figures.
In addition, I have contributed as a sextech writer for the Sexual Health Alliance, where I explore a range of topics, from AI-powered intimacy bots (part 1, part 2) to technical domination.
I’ve also been a research fellow and consultant with FemHealth Insights, a team of scientists, entrepreneurs, healthcare executives, and seasoned femtech founders. Their deep knowledge of the women’s health market helps identify opportunities to improve care for women. In my time there, I worked with USAID to identify funding opportunities for researchers developing HIV multipurpose therapeutics for the Sub-Saharan African market. I also authored a report on the funding landscape for uterine health products.
My hands-on experience in kink includes studying with Mistress Damiana Chi, a professional dominatrix and psychology PhD based in Los Angeles, as well as participating in a kink-aware training led by Midori, organized by the Sexual Health Alliance. These experiences have deepened my understanding of human intimacy across diverse contexts, and I continue to seek opportunities to expand my knowledge in this vital field.
